Before I can speak intelligently about the services that might be appropriate for you and your family, I need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know me.

The CFP® certification process, administered by the CFP Board, identifies to the public that those individuals who have been authorized to use the CFP® certification marks in the U.S. have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients.

CFP® certificants must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination, pass CFP Board's Fitness Standards for Candidates and Registrants, agree to abide by CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Rules of Conduct which put clients' interests first and comply with Financial Planning Practice Standards which spell out what clients should be able to reasonably expect from the financial planning engagement.  These are just some of the reasons why the CFP® certification is becoming increasingly recognized.

In addition, the CFP® certification prepares you for a career-long commitment to meeting the ever-changing needs of your clients.  As a CFP® professional, you become a coach and problem-solver, able to provide truly personalized services to clients and to maintain high levels of financial planning and professionalism.  Finally, your expertise and credibility as a financial planner is instantly communicated with the CFP® marks - the financial planning certification most sought after by consumers and financial planners alike.

The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Since 1927, more than 94,000 individuals have earned their CLU®, helping them build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, field management, home office personnel, and others involved in providing life insurance products to the public, the CLU® designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.

The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC® program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.

The American College created the RICP® designation to educate financial professionals on how to help their clients ensure their nest eggs last as long as retirement does, creating peace of mind during a retirement that could be decades long. The RICP® program addresses how retirees can use their savings in smart, strategic ways to realize their dreams during retirement. An RICP® will also make a financial action plan for how they'll be cared for if they can no longer care for themselves. It also trains financial professionals to plan for potential issues that can have a serious negative impact on a person's retirement plan such as an inflation spike, an increase in taxes, or the early death of a spouse.
